LexArts HOP

Stroll downtown and observe over 30 exhibits during the first LexArts gallery hop of the year on Jan. 17 from 5-8 p.m. The free event begins at 5 p.m. at most venues (and before for some) and extends late into the night. Alumni Artist Exhibit

The Artist’s Attic art studio will celebrate its 32-year anniversary and alumni artist showcase on Jan. 17 from 5-8 p.m. at its downtown loft space. Artists being featured include Kelly Brewer, David Carter, Ma Chao, Marcia Cone, Patsy Corns, Mitch Curd, Ed Fish Dixon and Glenda Earnest. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Bluegrass Band

Enjoy an evening of Beatles music – with a twist – when Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Bluegrass Band performs at the Singletary Center for the Arts on Jan. 17 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The band will perform hits from throughout the legendary British band’s discography with a unique bluegrass instrumentation. Them Coulee Boys

Rootsy and harmony-rich Wisconsin folk band Them Coulee Boys will return to Lexington to make their debut at Cosmic Charlie’s on Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. The band will be joined for the evening by newgrass troupe Fireside Collective. Steep Canyon Rangers

Fiery North Carolina-based string band Steep Canyon Rangers will take the stage at Manchester Music Hall on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. The band is set to release their latest album Be Still Moses with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra on March 6.
