Best Bets: Lots of local music and art for the holidays

In 2015 Lexington teen Rhyan Sinclair started The Living Room Sessions, a series of house concerts to benefit the Foster Care Council of Lexington. Many of the musicians from the last year will perform on Sunday at Rhyan Sinclair Presents: Home for the Holidays, 5 to 7 p.m. at Manchester Music Hall 899 Manchester Street. Performers will include Heather Parrish, All the Little Pieces (Sinclair’s band), Soljam, Sydney Cubit, Mark Bolander, David McClean and more. All proceeds will go to the Foster Care Council of Lexington. There will also be a God’s Pantry Food drive. Tickets are $15 in advance online, $20 at the door, $25 for VIP, online only. Dickens Christmas Carol and Candlelight Tour

Waveland State Historic Site, 225 Waveland Museum Lane, will feature scenes from the classic story The Christmas Carol. Santa will recite The Night Before Christmas in the formal parlor and artists will be set up in the barn. Visit 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday through Dec. 12. (859) 272-3611. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 students, free for ages 6 and younger.

Night Market returns

The final Night Market of the year is 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at 720 Bryan Avenue. The street festival features local artists and businesses, food and drink vendors. Music is by Tyler Childers and The Foodstamps. Check out the Night Market Facebook page for more info.

Black Friday art event

The Black Friday Art Sale is 6 to10 p.m. Friday and 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Loudoun House, 209 Castlewood Drive. Everything is $50 or less. Artists include Derrick Riley of dRock Press, Alison O’Bryan, Emily Howard, Sarah Jane Sanders, David Honaker, Crimson Duvall, Becky McGuire, Brian Connors Manke, Luke Gnadinger, Amelia Stamps, Leah Combs, Melisa Zimmerman, Robert Bridges, Kayla Harned, Stevie Moore and Cassie Weidner.
