5K On the Runway

Run or walk down the runway starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at Blue Grass Airport, 4832 Versailles Road. Strollers are welcome at the event, presented by United Way of the Bluegrass, but no scooters, skates, bikes, skateboards or pets are permitted on airport grounds. On-site registration is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Lexington Herald-Leader, 100 Midland Avenue. Race-day registration is 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the race site. Warehouse Block’s Block Party

Shops, restaurants and other businesses at North Ashland Avenue, between National and Aurora avenues, will host a neighborhood party from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. The evening will feature live music and food trucks, including Crank and Boom, Crazy Bout Cajun, Pasta Garage and more. Check out the Facebook event page for more info.

KET’s Summer Celebration

The annual fundraiser is from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday at Donamire Farm, 4151 Old Frankfort Pike. The evening of “Rhythm & Blooms” will include a farm-to-fork feast and dancing to the Jimmy Church Band.
