The free tour of downtown galleries is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. M S Rezny Studio/Gallery, 903 Manchester Street, will present the finals of the juried art competition Firmly Rooted 2016. Artists from 28 states submitted more than 290 works of botanical interpretations. Juror Stuart Horodner, director of the University of Kentucky Art Museum, selected 29 pieces for the exhibit. Awards will be presented at the reception, and the public is invited to vote for the “people’s choice” award. Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair
Get your fill of funnel cakes, catch a show by Kristen Johnson, aka Lady Houdini, or take a spin on the carnival rides — the fair is fun for the whole family.
