EKU Center puts single tickets on sale for 2016-17 shows

Single tickets are now on sale for the Eastern Kentucky University Center for the Arts 2016-17 season.

The lineup, which includes comedian Lewis Black, rocker John Mellencamp and the Russian National Ballet, was announced in the spring, and season tickets have been on sale for several months. Single tickets for some “special event” shows were already on sale, and now, patrons can choose from all of the options:

▪  Sept. 16: “Unelectable You,” an election-year comedy revue by writers from The Second City in partnership with Slate magazine.

▪  Sept. 24: The Piano Guys, A classical and pop piano blend that started as an internet phenomenon.

▪  Oct. 6: Stand-up comedian Lewis Black.

▪  5 p.m. Oct. 8: “Peppa Pig Live!” the stage version of the popular children’s series.

▪  Oct. 26: John Mellencamp.

▪  6 p.m. Nov. 13: “Elf: The Musical,” the stage version of the Christmas classic.

▪  Nov. 17: “The Price Is Right Live,” interactive stage show based on the TV game show.

▪  Dec. 8: The Ten Tenors, “Home for the Holidays,” Australian operatic group.

▪  7 p.m. Dec. 16: “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical,” based on the holiday TV classic.

▪  Feb. 23: Aquilla Theatre presents “Much Ado About Nothing.”

▪  March 21 and 22: “Riverdance.”

▪  3 p.m. March 25: “Seussical,” national tour of the Broadway hit.

▪  April 4 and 5: “Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage.”

▪  8 p.m. May 6: Celtic Woman, Irish singing sensation.

▪  3 p.m. May 7: Russian National Ballet Theatre presents “Sleeping Beauty.”
