3 Most Popular Netflix Movies Streaming Right Now (April 30-May 3)

Netflix is just a few days away from adding a fresh batch of movies, but there are already some deserving titles waiting for you on the streamer.

The top 10 list on Netflix is heavy with films that premiered earlier in April, but a pair of new additions have really made the difference.

Watch With Us has narrowed down the top 10 to the three most popular Netflix movies right now that you need to watch.

Our choices include one of last year's Best Picture nominees, a reboot of a classic '80s action-figure line and a horror comedy whose reputation has grown over the last two decades.

‘Bugonia' (2025)

Bugonia was one of last year's nominees for Best Picture, and it earned another Best Actress nomination for Emma Stone as well. Stone reunited with her frequent collaborator, director Yorgos Lanthimos, for this truly bizarre dark comedy thriller, in which her character, Auxolith CEO Michelle Fuller, is accused of being an alien who is out to conquer the world.

Teddy Gatz (Jesse Plemons) came up with quite a mythology surrounding Michelle's otherworldly agenda and her entire alien race. It's a little too extreme to be called harmless, especially since Teddy and his cousin, Don (Aidan Delbis), took the extra steps of kidnapping Michelle, shaving her head and covering her body in cream so she can't summon her alien brethren. Michelle's life may genuinely be in danger from these lunatics, but she didn't rise to power by accident. But she is going to have to find some way out of her predicament that allows her to survive.

Bugonia is streaming on Netflix.

‘Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins' (2021)

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins was supposed to be the first in a new line of G.I. Joe movies, but its box-office failure in 2021 prevented any sequels from happening. Five years later, Snake Eyes is suddenly a streaming hit on Netflix, and this isn't the first time we've seen that happen. Crazy Rich Asians breakout star Henry Golding took the lead as Snake Eyes, an orphan whose father was killed in front of him.

Years later, Snake Eyes finds a friend and ally in Tommy (Andrew Koji), the heir to the Arashikage ninja clan. Tommy's rival, Kenta (Takehiro Hira), will do anything to take control of the clan away from him. That includes setting Tommy and Snake Eyes on a path that will make them mortal enemies. Scream queen Samara Weaving also appears as G.I. Joe fan-favorite Scarlett, with Úrsula Corberó as the Baroness. This could have been a fun series of G.I. Joe films if everything had worked out.

‘Jennifer's Body' (2009)

The cult classic horror film Jennifer's Body is coming to Netflix this week, and we wouldn't be shocked at all if it finds its way into the streamer's top 10 by the end of the weekend. Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody wrote this flick, which stars Megan Fox as Jennifer Check. But this film is also a spotlight for Amanda Seyfried, who plays Jennifer's best friend, Anita "Needy" Lesnicki.

Following a horrific tragedy at a concert where people died, Needy notices some unsettling changes in Jennifer. In some ways, Jennifer was always a man-eater, but she's taking that a little too literally now. Before long, Needy realizes that something evil is in possession of Jennifer, and everyone she knows and cares about is in danger of being devoured by Jennifer's demonic entity.

Jennifer's Body will stream on Netflix on Friday.
