Dak Prescott Hints That Breakup With Fiancee Is Responsible for Weight Loss

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott says he's lost a few pounds since he was last seen on the football field, implying that his high-profile split with fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos could be why.

"Stress may help lose a little weight here and there," Prescott, 32, told reporters during a Tuesday, June 9, media availability.

When a reporter began questioning whether he was referring to his breakup, Prescott responded, "I'm kidding. I'm going to shut it right there."

Prescott and Ramos, 32, announced their split in March, just weeks before their scheduled April 10 wedding in Italy. Page Six reported at the time that Ramos had discovered "inappropriate" text messages sent between Prescott and multiple "ex-flings" during the couple's joint bachelor/bachelorette party, contributing to the pair's split.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer weighed in on the drama in April, telling reporters that he and Prescott were in communication and his quarterback was in a "really good spot."

"Obviously what he's dealing with is incredibly tough," he said. "But if anyone can handle it, he can."

Prescott and Ramos entered into a temporary custody settlement on April 15, according to court records viewed by Us Weekly. They share daughters Margaret Jane "MJ," 2, and Aurora, who just celebrated her first birthday.

"This agreement is a positive step forward and reflects the commitment Dak has to raising their daughters in a healthy, supportive environment," Prescott's lawyer, Levi McCathern, said in a statement to Us.

The statement continued, "We're pleased this was resolved amicably and outside of the courtroom. At the end of the day, the focus remains where it should be - on the well-being of Dak's two daughters - and he is fully committed to ensuring that."

Ramos' attorney, Raymond Rafool, added that she is happy that it appears the two will be able to successfully coparent.

"Sarah Jane is very happy that she and Dak are able to make decisions for the parties' girls and their family on their own," he told Page Six. "She firmly believes that working together as parents is very important and will have long-term benefits for the girls. Sarah Jane continues to be dedicated to putting the girls' best interests and lives first."

Prescott and Ramos recently reunited for Aurora's big day in May, posing for photos together in front of a yellow birthday cake.

"How is this perfect baby 1 today?" Ramos wrote via her Instagram Stories. "Grateful for the best day celebrating her."

Prescott reposted the message, adding, "Happy 1st to this special girl! You are loved. … Cute, sweet and tough!! You're a special little girl. Love you, Roar."

The Cowboys are currently going through voluntary workouts with mandatory minicamp set to get underway on Tuesday, June 16.
