U.S. 25 Yard Sale

Great American Brass Band Festival in Danville

Food Truck Fridays at Triangle Park
The first Food Truck Friday will take place June 3 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at downtown Lexington’s Triangle Park. Every Friday until Sept. 30 there will be tables, chairs and of course a rotation of local food trucks. downtownlex.com
Berea Anime Festival at the Berea Folk Center
The inaugural Berea Anime Festival will take place at the Berea Folk Center on June 3 from 2-8 p.m. Activities include an anime cosplay costume contest, tabletop gaming with Berea’s Bad Wolf Gaming, anime face painting with MCPL Youth Services staff, a showing of Studio Ghibli’s 1988 classic “My Neighbor Totoro” and more. Black Mountain Jamboree Music Festival in Monticello
The second annual Black Mountain Jamboree music festival will take place at Hidden Ridge Camping outside of Monticello on June 3 and 4 with music from Sierra Ferrell, Nicholas Jamerson, Bee Taylor, Grayson Jenkins and The Minks, among others. Art exhibit: ‘Images Of Dignity’ at the Lyric Theatre
The Lyric Theatre will present “Images Of Dignity: Who We Are As A People”, an exhibit by artist Joseph Pearson, from June 1-July 28. The art exhibit, open on weekdays from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m., will offer a counter-argument to the seemingly negative perceptions of Black men in the United States by featuring portraits of famous figures alongside snapshots of everyday life. 3 Doors Down concert at The Barnyard

Town Mountain concert at The Burl
Asheville based group Town Mountain, who’s recent COVID cancellation opened the door for Tyler Childers to play a surprise show in Louisa on May 20, will perform outside at The Burl on June 3 at 8 p.m. with support from Nashville blues and bluegrass connoisseur Cristina Vane. Lexington Humane Society’s Mutt Strutt at Keeneland
The Lexington Humane Society’s Mutt Strutt will be June 4 from 8 a.m.-noon at Keeneland, 4201 Versailles Rd. The dog-friendly, one-mile walk will be along a shaded route on the Keeneland grounds. Kid’s Fishing Derby at Richmond’s Lake Reba
A Kid’s Fishing Derby will be hosted by the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department from 8-10 a.m. June 4 at Richmond’s Lake Reba, 299 Lake Reba Dr. Kids ages 16 and under and will have free fishing, games, prizes and teaching sessions on the sport. Kids can get up close to Lexington’s trucks at Truck-a-Palooza
The city of Lexington’s Truck-a-Palooza is back with more than 20 city trucks, including units from the Department of Environmental Quality, Public Works and the Fire Department. The free, family-friendly event on June 4 from 1-4 p.m. at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike will have drivers on hand to answer questions and perform demonstrations. Amythyst Kiah concert in Frankfort
Grammy nominated country/roots musician Amythyst Kiah will perform at the Josephine Sculpture Park in Frankfort on June 5 at 6 p.m. with an opening set from old-time group The Possum Queens. Kiah, also a member of CMT’s Next Women Of Country class of 2022, garnered extensive critical acclaim for the song “Black Myself” from her album “Wary + Strange”, which was released one year ago later this month.
