Bardstown to host street painting festival

Bardstown is hosting its own version of Via Colori, an Italian street painting festival, in late June.

During the event — 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 27 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 28 — artists will create large-scale pastel works directly on the street, in this case, on Xavier Street near Spalding Hall. The featured artist at the Bardstown version is Joshua Vance of Louisville.

Surrounding the event will be live music, gourmet food vendors and, on the evening of June 27, the street will be illuminated by candlelight to give it a distinctive glow.
