Kentucky State Police have located and arrested a fugitive from Lawrence County accused of rape.
William Litton, 48, of Webbville was arrested Saturday night and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
Litton was indicted June 22 on a charge of first-degree rape. He was out on bond but state police had sought the public’s assistance in locating Litton after he failed to surrender following the indictment.
Litton was also charged with fleeing and evading police and resisting arrest, according to the jail website.
