The University of Kentucky announced Wednesday that it is investigating a social media post that had an unsubstantiated threat involving a classroom building.
There will be an increased “safety presence” around the White Hall Classroom building after the threat, but events and classes are scheduled to continue as normal Thursday, university President Eli Capilouto said in the Twitter announcement.
“Please know the safety of our campus community is our top priority,” Capilouto said.
Screenshots of the bomb threats, which appear to have been made on Snapchat, have been passed around in messages between students, according to the Kentucky Kernel, UK’s student newspaper.
Anyone with information is asked to call UK Police at 859-257-8573.
