Lexington’s Tolly-Ho has served generations of UK students. Share your memories with us

Tolly-Ho, the longtime late-night staple for breakfast, burgers and banana pudding milkshakes, is moving to a new location later this year.

Fans needn’t fret though. Tolly-Ho plans to hold onto its traditions and continue serving the best late-night burger in all of Lexington. What’s more, fans might welcome some of the changes at the new location farther down South Broadway, such as the addition of drive-thru service.

The 24-hour restaurant has long been a gathering spot where police officers and revelers, professors and students, doctors and celebrities might cross paths. It’s also moved a few times since its founding in 1971.

Tolly-Ho originally opened at 108 West Euclid (now called Winslow Street) before moving to South Limestone in the 80s. In 2011, the restaurant moved to its current location, 606 South Broadway.

We’d like to hear about your favorite memories and stories of various chapters in Tolly-Ho’s history, perhaps when you were a University of Kentucky student or at some other point in your life. You can share those with us through the Google form below.

Also, send photos of your time at Tolly-Ho to ask@herald-leader.com. We may share both your story and your photo in a future article about the establishment.

Is there a memorable part of Lexington or greater Kentucky you’d like to see use write about? We’d like to hear from you. You can email your ideas to ask@herald-leader.com.
