Who Holds The Devil
Afterculture Theater will present “Who Holds The Devil,” an immersive, theatrical exploration in a post-apocalyptic landscape where the effects of climate change are have reshaped daily life, to the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. each night. House Of The Holy
The Black Jacket Symphony will return to the Lexington Opera House on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m., this time performing Led Zeppelin’s iconic album “Houses Of The Holy” in its entirety along with other hits from the rock band’s illustrious catalogue. ‘Shakespeare In Love’
The Woodford Theatre in Versailles will host multiple presentations of “Shakespeare In Love” beginning this weekend and continuing through Feb. 16. This weekend’s showtimes are at 8 p.m. on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 2. Tickets are $15-22. woodfordtheatre.com.
Cash Unchained

Blue Corn Bourbon Release and Open House
Bluegrass Distillers will host an open house on Feb. 1 to celebrate the release of their first ever Kentucky Straight Blue Corn Bourbon, valued at $55 for a 90 proof bottle. Big Beers 2020
West Sixth Brewing will hold its fifth annual Big Beers bash from 4-5 p.m. on Feb. 1 featuring over a dozen “big beers” ranging from 7-13% ABV. Dinner Theater
Elizabeth’s Village, an organization whose mission is to provide transitional housing with education, support services and community partnerships for women and women with children in Scott County, is holding its 6th annual dinner theater at the Carrick House on Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. The evenings activities will include dinner along with a play performed by the Georgetown College Maskrafters, a silent auction, a live auction, a photo booth, and more. British Lion invasion
British Lion might seem a somewhat innocuous name for a guitar troupe from across the pond. Iron Maiden fans, though, will recognize it as both the title of a 2012 solo record by the band’s bassist and chief songwriter Steve Harris as well as the name of the quintet he leads on his own. This winter marks the first time British Lion has toured the United States. Lonesome River Band
The Festival of the Bluegrass is still four months away, but one its mainstay acts is heading to the great indoors this weekend. The Lonesome River Band, traditionally the Festival’s Thursday headliner, will play Meadowgreen Appalachian Music Park (formerly Meadowgreen Park Music Hall), 303 Bluegrass Lane in Clay City, on Feb. 1 with the Blue Eagle Band opening.
