Woodford Reserve is releasing what sounds like a breakfast bourbon.

The bourbon maker is releasing a whiskey made with oats and finished in a new, heavily toasted barrel. Called Toasted Oak Oat Grain, it’s the latest in Woodford Reserve’s Distillery Release series.

The new release has an aroma of “well-done cinnamon raisin oatmeal cookie dusted with cocoa, dark chocolate shavings and drizzled with dark molasses,” according to the tasting notes. The flavor has “sharp spice notes of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg,” with a citrus and very dark chocolate character and a bitter chocolate finish.

The new release will be available beginning June 7 at the distillery at 7785 McCracken Pike in Versailles, according to a news release. It’ll also be available at select Kentucky retailers.

It’s bottled at 90.4 proof and is priced at about $60.

“Experimenting with new ways of making Woodford Reserve is one of my favorite parts of my job,” said master distiller Chris Morris, in a statement. “It allows us to explore new flavors with our bourbon.”

Toasted Oak Oat Grain is part of Woodford Reserve’s Distillery Series, which Morris created to push Woodford Reserve’s creative boundaries of whiskeys to the extreme, according to the release. Each selection is masterminded by Morris and assistant master distiller Elizabeth McCall. There are three annual releases of the Distillery Series.
