Looking for a Kentucky bourbon for the special woman? Put her name on it — for free
It’s no secret by now that women like bourbon. Now Maker’s Mark is making something for women who would like their OWN bourbon.
In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Kentucky distillery is offering a limited-edition label designed by renowned artist Gayle Kabaker. You can order the special label with the name of a special woman in your life (or your own name even) and put it on any 750 mL bottle of Maker’s Mark.
Go online to makersmarkpersonalize.com to order a personalized label for free — that’s right, the price is free.
Gayle Kabaker, a longstanding partner of non-profit Vital Voices, has a history of creating art that showcases women “who use their power to empower others” and was inspired to illuminate the organization with Maker’s Mark.
Kabaker’s limited-edition label depicts her interpretation of a spirited woman in acrylic gouache, inspired by the wildflowers of Kentucky and the colors of the Maker’s Mark palette, according to the news release.
Maker’s Mark was drawn to the partnership to bourbon honor co-founder Margie Samuels.
“As a brand co-founded by my grandmother Margie Samuels more than 70 years ago, Maker’s Mark continues to be guided and grown by incredible women defining what’s next in the industry,” said Rob Samuels, managing director of Maker’s Mark and eighth generation Kentucky whisky maker. “We are privileged to continue our commitment to women making an impact in their communities and support the meaningful causes that drive Vital Voices.”
