This kind of heat calls for something cool. And maybe something a little ... extra.
Because if you can’t beat the heat, how about a little something to take the edge off?
I was thinking about these great frozen “milkshakes” and slushies I used to get years ago from a tiny place on Romany that’s unfortunately long gone, when up popped this query in Kentucky.com’s Facebook food group: “Anyone know where you can get a frozen alcoholic beverage in Lexington? Pina Colada?”
And the answers started pouring in from clearly well-informed Lexingtonians.
Looking for a Bourbon Slushie? A giant frozen margarita? They know the answers (including the elusive pina colada.)
