All hail the glizzy. Hot dog fans get ready to join in the “glizzy madness.”

The Hot Dog Hop presented by Fireball Whisky and billed as “the country’s most unique college bar crawl,” is coming to Lexington as part of its 2026 nationwide tour.

The bar hop, where participants will be able top go from bar to bar dressed in a hot dog costume, is taking place in Lexington on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 3 p.m.-8 p.m. as part of a multi-campus tour.

Participating local bars include 2 Fisted Willie’s, Tin Roof, La Chula, Bluegrass Tavern, Salooniversity, Belle’s, Stagger Inn, Wildcat Saloon, The Hill, Paddock Bar and Radio Star Lounge.

The experience includes a free hot dog costume that you can customize as it is yours to keep, exclusive $2, $3, $4, and $5 drink deals, and free admission to participating venues, with chances to win some fun related swag.

Tickets are available (ages 21-plus) for $29.99 and includes taxes and fees.

But you had better hurry if you want to be part of the glizzy nation that day. Tickets are reportedly already 60% sold out.

The term “glizzy” — slang for hot dog — has become popular in our culture through rap music lyrics, various internet memes and TikTok videos.

The hot dog suit pickup will take place at 2 Fisted Willie’s, 388 Woodland Ave., on Saturday, Jan. 31 from noon to 3 p.m.

If you happen to become hungry for a real dog that day, Katie’s Happy Hot Dogs cart will be set up in front of The Hill, 333 South Limestone, serving all beef hot dogs from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.

The tour is planned for 70 college campuses across the country. Other cities on the schedule include Auburn, Alabama; Tucson Arizona; Fayetteville, Arkansas; College Station, Texas; Athens, Georgia; Lawrence, Kansas; Oxford, Mississippi; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Use the discount code “Glizzy10” for 10% off tickets, which are available through The Hot Dog Hop website or on LineLeap.
