Tony's Steaks & Seafood opens Friday in The Square in downtown Lexington
Tony's Steaks & Seafood, 401 West Main Street, opens for business at 5 p.m. Friday. The newest restaurant in The Square, Tony's serves traditional steakhouse fare in an upscale atmosphere. Tony's joins Pies & Pints Pizzeria, which opened in December; Saul Good; and Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen, which will open this month.
■ Kentucky Refugee Ministries' Rockin' Round the World, a fundraiser with music, food, drinks and a silent auction of chairs hand-painted by refugees, staff and local artists is 7 p.m. Friday at The Livery, 238 East Main Street. Author Aimee Zaring will be signing her book Flavors From Home: Refugees in Kentucky Share Their Stories and Comfort Foods, available for $29.95. There will be live music from the Refugee Children's Choir and more. Tickets are $65, $45 for ages 35 and younger, and there are discounts for the purchase of multiple tickets. ■ The March menu for Greentree Tea Room, 521 West Short Street, includes potato leek soup, Irish oat scone with blackberry jam and Fayette cream; spanakopita; corned beef, poppy seed, egg salad and benedictine tea sandwiches; Bailey's brownies, pistachio cupcakes and Greentree French filled wafers; and Irish blend tea. ■ Chef Ouita Michel celebrates the American steakhouse with a beef menu this weekend at Holly Hill Inn, 426 North Winter Street, Midway. Michel and her staff have created a menu featuring steakhouse cuisine with a variety of steaks and classic sauces and sides. Steaks include New York strip, bone-in rib eye and Wagyu.
"I am excited to cook the Wagyu beef for the first time," Michel said. "One of my favorite steaks is the bone-in rib-eye, also known as the cowgirl rib-eye, which has incredible flavor from the bone." Other menu selections include entrees tournedos Diane and trout amandine, appetizers such as jumbo lump crab cakes and colossal shrimp cocktail, and first courses such as Holly Hill Inn's famous onion soup and chopped salad with Kenny's Kentucky Blue cheese creamy dressing.

The American Steakhouse menu is part of Michel's Around the World in 80 Days Winter Dinner Club series. Remaining dinner club menus are The Emerald Isle, March 12 to 14; Rome, March 19to 21; and Spain and Portugal, March 26 to 28.
■ Pazzo's, 385 South Limestone, is celebrating its 15th anniversary all month by offering $1 jumbo slices of cheese pizza until 3 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays. Look for special beer tappings throughout the month. Call (859) 255-5125
■ Bourbon 'n' Toulouse, 829 Euclid Avenue, will serve alligator étouffée for lunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday as a special for the UK-Florida game. All local beers will be $2 Saturday, and the 2 p.m. Saturday game will be on there and at Chevy Chase Inn next door. All menu items will be available at the inn.
■ North Lime Coffee & Donuts, 575 North Limestone and 3101 Clays Mill Road, is kicking off March Madness with a doughnut bracket: 32 kinds are going head to head, with a different pair each day. Whichever sells the most advances to the next round. Customers have until 5 p.m. Friday to enter their brackets for a shot at a $25 gift card from the bakery. Friday's first pairing is maple bacon versus blueberry pancake. The finals will be April 6, the same day as the NCAA men's basketball championship.
