▪ Lockbox, the restaurant in the 21c Museum Hotel, 167 West Main Street, will offer a two-course brunch menu including fried chicken in a biscuit, Easter ham or Dutch-style pancake from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s $29 a person; a kids’ menu is available. Call 859-899-6860.

▪ Proud Mary BBQ, 9079 Old Richmond Road, will have a buffet including lamb, ribs, jambalaya and more for $19. There also will be an egg hunt, a bounce house and and activities for kids. Call 859-913-5611 for reservations.
▪ Good Foods Co-op, 455 Southland Drive, is having a free Easter egg hunt, for children 4 and younger, in the produce department at 9 a.m. Saturday. Eggs will be filled with organic vegetarian jelly beans and organic sunny bears. Participants will be invited to enjoy some complimentary wheat-free coffee cake afterward. ▪ Portofino, 249 East Main Street, will have special hours Sunday. The restaurant will serve seasonal specials and the full regular menu from noon to 9 p.m. Call 859-253-9300 for reservations.
▪ Crank & Boom Ice Cream Lounge, 1210 Manchester Street, will have a special solo performance by Coralee Townie at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and an Easter waffle brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
▪ Woodford Reserve master distiller Chris Morris was recently inducted into the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame at a ceremony in New York. A Louisville native, Morris has been master distiller for Brown-Forman (only the seventh in the company’s history) since 2003. He developed the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection, Double Oaked, Rye and Distillery Series products.
▪ West Sixth Brewing, 501 West Sixth Street, is celebrating the brewery’s fourth anniversary with five days of events, including Yoga for a Cause with Ben Sollee, 7 to 8 p.m. March 29. It’s a fundraiser for four nonprofits in The Bread Box (Roller Girls of Central Kentucky, The Plantory, Broke Spoke and FoodChain.) Tickets are $41.99; available on West Sixth’s Facebook page.
At 6:30 p.m. March 31, it’s the second annual Birthday Collaboration Beer Dinner, with Blue Door Smokehouse and Smithtown Seafood. Chefs Jeff Newman and Jon Sanning created a five-course menu highlighting food they love to cook and plenty of new and interesting dishes, paired with West Sixth brews. Tickets are $67.62 each, available through West Sixth’s Facebook page.
On April 1, West Sixth will have a Bread Box-wide open house, beginning at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., the brewery will have “Flashback Friday,” complete with the original crew of bartenders, owners pouring beers, and a look back at what the place looked like when the doors first opened. At 10 p.m., West Sixth will host the Yamaguchis, who will set up a late-night Japanese food truck.
On April 2, for the big day, the brewery will open at 10 a.m., with breakfast by Smithtown Seafoods, and Coffee Stout on tap. Cricket Press will sell a special birthday print, and the first 100 people will receive free 15-ounce stainless steel coffee mugs. There will be special giveaways in the afternoon, and live music by Blind Corn Liquor Pickers and Brett Ratliff.
April 3 is family day, with a free magic show in the beer garden at 1 p.m., with kettle corn and a patio cookout.
▪ Lexington Farmers Market is giving away pairs of tickets to the Annual Central Kentucky Home & Garden Show. Stop by the information booth at market on Cheapside on Saturday and mention the show. Two customers will get a pair of tickets each. Several of the market’s member farmers will have a booth at the show, which is April 1 through 3 at Rupp Arena and the Lexington Convention Center.
