Mr. Brews Taphouse coming to Southside with burgers, lots of beer

Mr. Brews Taphouse, a Wisconsin-based craft beer concept, is coming to Lexington. The bar, which features loads of craft beers, also will serve burgers and fresh-cut chips and fries and other pub fare.

Nathan Canavera, who has worked at Alltech marketing Bourbon Barrel Ale for more than a decade, is opening the franchise of Mr. Brews Taphouse at 220 Ruccio Way, near Meijer off Reynolds Road. Canavera said he hopes to be open by late November or early December.

“I’m trying to bring craft beer to the south side of town in an accessible, family-friendly way,” Canavera said.

It will have 60 regional and local craft draft beers on tap, plus fried cheese curds and kid-friendly foods. The restaurant also will have a patio for outdoor seating.
