Popular Versailles restaurant opening second location in Lexington

Fans of the popular Napa Prime in Versailles won’t have to drive to Woodford County soon: The restaurant will be opening a second location in Lexington.

Napa Prime will be going into the building at the corner of Cedar and Broadway that was the home of JDI Grill and, most recently, Alexander Bullitt’s Winery, Brewery & Bistro. Alexander Bullitt’s closed in June and said it would be reopening with a restructured concept.

The spot is near the University of Kentucky and downtown Lexington, with multiple floors and bars for seating.

But Napa Prime announced on Saturday on its Facebook page that its second location would open there in early fall. Owner Darrell Lewis did not immediately respond to a request for more information.

The Versailles restaurant in a remodeled Pizza Hut has a menu that focuses on specialty burgers and fresh fish as well as good comfort food. One popular burger is the bourbon bacon burger, which comes with bacon jam.
