Looking for a New Year’s Eve party? Here are 25 in Lexington

New Year’s Eve is coming, and this is a big one: The end of the teens and the beginning of the twenties.

Lots of local places are planning evenings with a Roaring Twenties theme, so dig out your flapper dress and put on a party hat.

Options range from great dinners to comedy to live music and full-on, all-included parties. Here are some offerings:

Lexington Opera House, 401 West Short St., will host Mardi Gras in New Orleans, with a performance by trumpeter Byron Stripling and the Lexington Philharmonic. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m.; tickets $60 to $100 per person available from Lexington Philharmonic and Lexington Opera House.

J. Render’s Southern Table & Bar, 3191 Beaumont Centre Circle, will offer a Great Gatsby New Year’s Eve featuring dinner, drinks and dancing. Gatsby-era attire encouraged. It’s a four-course dinner with seatings at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The later seating includes music from Ben Lacy and Corey Cross and comes with a champagne toast at midnight. The 6 p.m. seating is $60 per person and the 8:30 p.m. seating is $75 per person. There’s a $20 cover charge for entry after dinner. Reservations required; call 859-533-9777.

West Main Crafting Co., 135 West Main St., is doing a New Year’s Eve special featuring Yukimuro Wagyu and bourbon. It’s a five-course menu of a rare beef paired with different bourbons for $230 per person, beginning at 8:30 p.m. There’s also a five-course cocktail and food pairing menu for $130 per person. CRU Food & Wine Bar, 107 Summit at Fritz Farm, will ring in 2020 with a gala dinner menu, available from 5 p.m. to midnight. It’s $55 per person for four courses, including party hats and a champagne toast at midnight. Reservations available.

Champs, 297 Ruccio Way, will celebrate a kid-friendly New Year’s Eve with skating, laser tag, mini golf and B.B.’s Arcade from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Hats, horns, noisemakers and huge balloon drop at midnight.

The Grand Reserve, 903 Manchester Street, is hosting Black & White New Year’s Eve Bash. Craft cocktails, chef stations, DJ, live band Jackson Alley, aerial artists, palm magic and two fire-breathers. Doors open at 8 p.m. Midnight toast and fireworks. Tickets are $45; contact Bluegrass Catering to reserve tables of 10.

Griffin Gate Marriott Resort, 1800 Newtown Pike, is hosting a New Years party benefiting the Lexington Academy of Barbering Community. Doors open at 8 p.m. General admission is $50 per person; VIP admission, including food, is $80 per person; and Millionaires Row, which also comes with a bottle of your choice, is $150 per person.

Comedy Off Broadway, 161 Lexington Green Circle, is hosting New Year’s Eve with Lee Cruse. Shows at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $23 per person.

Belle’s Cocktail House, 156 Market Street, will host Belle’s New Year’s Eve Ball from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. Each tickets gets you two specialty cocktails and a midnight champagne toast. You can also order a Top Shelf Bourbon Ticket for $100 (only 10 available) and reserve a champagne couch for four. Doors open at 9 p.m. for ticketed guests and after midnight to public. Black tie is optional.

Mirror Twin Brewing, 725 National Ave., is hosting New Year’s Eve Casino Night. Tickets are $20 each. There will be blackjack, roulette, craps and professional dealers, with a DJ and live music, and a midnight champagne toast. Rolling Oven will do two slices for $5. Doors open at 8 p.m.

West Sixth Brewing, 501 West Sixth St., is hosting New Year’s Eve at West Sixth. Reserve a table with plenty of extras. Tables ready at 7 p.m. A table for two is $70 and a Beer Garden table, seats 4-10, is $140. Go to eventbrite.com for reservations. Bar is also open, with first come, first serve seating.

Parlay Social, 249 West Short St., is hosting Ring In 2020 at Parlay Social. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. It’s $75 per person and includes valet parking, coat check, reserved table or bar seating, party favors, champagne, small plate from the NYE menu and live music with Boogie G and the Titanics. Call 859-244-1932 for reservations.

Harvey’s and Hugo’s Ultralounge, 200 West Main St., are hosting their 14th annual New Year’s Eve party, with bottle service, dance floor, DJ, balloon drop, table reservations, champagne toast at midnight, gift bags and more. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $25 per person for pre-sale tickets to $850 for a private room for up to 20. Tickets at eventbrite.com.

The Red Mile, 1200 Red Mile Rd., is hosting the Red Mile New Year’s Eve party from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Free live music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., balloon drop, and a $10,000 Totally Tubular Freeplay Drawing. Food and drink specials.

21c Museum Hotel and Lockbox, 167 Main St., will host Light Up the New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a special light show and performances from local artists. There’s also a DJ, open bar and light bites. Tickets are $85 per person; available on eventbrite.com.

Tin Roof, 303 South Limestone, will host a Roaring in the 20s bash featuring live music, Champagne toast at midnight, NYE dinner buffet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets start at $5 ($25 for buffet);

Bar Louie, 3565 Nicholasville Rd., will host New Year’s Eve Decade Party from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. with a DJ playing favorites from the 80s, 90s and today. Tickets on eventbrite.com are $25 per person and include a drink ticket, swag and champagne toast.

Shamrock Bar & Grille, 154 Patchen Dr., will host a New Year’s Eve ‘80s Time After Time Prom and Lip Sync Battle with prizes. Sign up in advance at the bar to perform. Event starts at 8 p.m.

Soundbar, 208 South Limestone, will host NYE ‘20 Draggin’ & Countdown with Helena Handbasket, Kimmee Jo and DJ Crow. The event starts at 8 p.m. Reserved seating available; call 859-523-6338.

Clarion Hotel, 1950 Newtown Pike, will host Ain’t no Party like a Clarion New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets start at $100 per person for three venues, drinks included. Tickets also available on eventbrite.com including rooms and more.

DoubleTree Suites, 2601 Richmond Rd., will host a New Year’s Party beginning at 9 p.m. with live music.

The Bar Complex, 224 East Main St., will host a New Year’s Eve drag show and dance party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
