A new Lexington dining event lets you eat out and save lives at the same time
If you’re looking for a great excuse to eat out on Tuesday, here you go: The Markey DineAround event.
If you eat lunch or dinner (or both, nobody’s going to judge) at 15 participating local restaurants, they will donate 25 percent of their day’s proceeds to the Markey Cancer Foundation at UK Heathcare.
Participating restaurants include Blue Heron Steakhouse, Coles 735 Main, Dudley’s on Short, The Grey Goose, Epping’s on Eastside, Graze on Woodlands, J. Render’s Southern Table and Bar, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, Lockbox, Pasta Garage, Ranada’s Bistro + Bar, Rolling Oven, Sage Rabbit, Saul Good and Spotz Gelato.
The new fundraiser is the brainchild of Frederick Douglass High School senior Drew Rodriguez.
