Much-anticipated restaurant opening soon in City Center. Here’s how to get a table.
ItalX, the high-profile local restaurant that will anchor the City Center development in downtown Lexington, is about to open the doors.
The avant garde Italian restaurant at 160 W. Main Street has begun accepting reservations beginning Oct. 6.
This is the latest culinary partnership between chef Jonathan Lundy, sommelier T.J. Cox, his wife Brie Cox and developer Lee Greer.
They plan to open with dinner Tuesday through Sunday, 5 to 9 p.m.
The menu is Italian with a twist, just as Lundy’s Corto Lima is Latin, with a twist or two.
“We want to take the success we’ve had at Corto Lima and push it into a new restaurant,” Lundy said. The price point will be similar, with a menu that is respectful of classics without adhering to the stereotypical, he said last fall.
The elegant dining room, which faces the corner of Main and Upper, could seat about 80, with 15 bar seats, before the pandemic imposed capacity limits.
