New survey: Which drive-thru is the slowest? Which is the fastest?

In the age of COVID, restaurant drive-thrus have become more important than ever for customers.

Now, a new study of fast-food chains found that Chick-fil-A, which routinely gets high marks from customers, is among the slowest.

According to the 2020 SeeLevel HX Annual Drive-Thru Study, the average time spent in Chick-fil-A’s double-laned drive-thrus was 488.8 seconds. That’s more than 8 minutes.

By comparison, KFC’s drive-thru averaged 283.3 seconds. That’s under 5 minutes, the fastest of the 10 restaurants released in the study.

At the other end of the top 10 in the new survey, KFC’s drive-thrus averaged a much faster time.
