Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road is moving. Here’s where and when.

There’s good news and bad news about the Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road.

If you love the location, you’d better eat there soon. Because the last day that they will be serving steaks there will be Oct. 18.

But the good news is that the restaurant will reopen across the street at 3116 Richmond Rd., in the old Walmart parking lot, with lunch on Oct. 26.

The new location will have more tables than the old one, with room for up to 310 people, according to a news release.

The new Texas Roadhouse will have a ribbon cutting, which is open to the public, at 10 a.m. and then begin serving lunch at 11 a.m.

The larger restaurant also means more jobs: According to the news release, 50 additional employees have been hired.

The Walmart in Mist Lake Plaza was Lexington’s first. It closed in 2018.

The property is now owned by DF Lexington Properties LLC, which is connected to the Don Franklin auto sales companies.
