Looking for corned beef, green beer for St. Patrick’s Day? Here’s your Lexington guide
In 2020, Lexington bars and restaurants were left weeping into a lot of leftover green beer as the coronavirus pandemic forced Gov. Andy Beshear to shut down indoor service on March 16.
While this year’s annual St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival are on hold for the second year, organizers hope to have a mini-festival for “halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” in September.
But local restaurants and bars are still hoping to make up for lost ground with specials that will have your eyes smiling even if you are not Irish.
Just remember, Kentucky’s mask mandate is still in place and indoor capacity is still limited to 60 percent.
So if you’re looking for corned beef, cabbage, Guinness stew, fish & chips and, yes, green beer, here’s where to go on March 17 in Lexington for dine-in, takeout or curbside.
