Lexington is getting a Peach Cobbler Factory. Details from the owner on more locations

Do you love hot fruit cobbler? Then you’re going to think a new dessert shop coming to Lexington is just peachy.

The Peach Cobbler Factory, which specializes in its namesake desserts, is planning to open its first Lexington location later this year.

Franchise owner Shermiah Holland said she plans to open her first store in The Lex at 521 S. Broadway, Unit 145, in late May or early June. She is looking for a spot to open at least one more location in the Lexington area too.

Holland, who works in IT in Louisville, fell in love with the concept when she visited the Louisville store. “The minute I walked through the door of The Peach Cobbler Factory in Louisville, the atmosphere, the simplicity of it all, it triggered me,” she said. She likes that the menu is simple: Just desserts, nothing more, baked on-site fresh daily.

The Peach Cobbler Factory offers a dozen kinds of cobbler and you can also get cobbler filling “stuffed” into a cinnamon roll.

The chain, which bills itself as “America’s #1 Dessert Shop,” has been serving fruity pastries since 2013. The Peach Cobbler Factory serves a dozen different kinds of cobbler, including five kinds of peach. And cinnamon rolls.

Other fruity cobbers include honey apple, blackberry, strawberry, sweet potato pecan and more.

And you can get any kind of cobbler filling stuffed in a cinnamon roll, Holland said. And you can get ice cream on top too.

The menu also includes five versions of banana pudding, sweet peachy tea and cold-brew coffee. Prices range from about $7 to $11, she said.

Besides cobblers, The Peach Cobbler Factory also offers five flavors of banana pudding. The fast-growing chain is coming to Lexington this spring.

The South Broadway location should draw traffic from the University of Kentucky campus as well as Rupp Arena and downtown, she said. The shop will be open everyday, from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Founded in Nashville in 2013 by Juan and Tami Edgerton, the growing chain already has locations in Cincinnati and Louisville. Locations also are coming to Kentucky in Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Radcliff and Mt. Washington.

The Peach Cobbler Factory is coming to Lexington with a dessert-only menu of cobblers, banana puddings and cinnamon rolls. And yes, you can get ice cream on top.
