There’s no shortage of places in Lexington to get breakfast, sometimes for lunch or even dinner. But a new local restaurant hopes to bring something fresh to the table.

Beau’s Cafe will be opening in late summer/early fall in the Beaumont area and owners Spencer Sirles and Daniel Dupont plan to offer an elevated option for breakfast and lunch.

“One of the things Spencer and I are excited about is creating an addition to the local restaurant scene,” Dupont said. “We’re inspired by that customer that wants flavor and high quality ingredients at the same time.”

Both are Lexington natives who worked in the restaurant business in big cities (Dupont also is a partner in a breakfast place in Los Angeles called Wake and Late.)

They are opening Beau’s Cafe at 3191 Beaumont Centre Circle Suites 140 & 150, next door to BBQ restaurant J. Render’s Southern Table & Bar. They hope to start with to-go options in mid-August and then launch full-service dining in September.

The Beaumont neighborhood restaurant will be open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, with items like breakfast burritos and sandwiches for grab and go, and a menu with a little something extra for dining in.

“For full service we’ll do interesting breakfast items like a Dutch baby pancake, a French omelet and then add sandwiches and salads at lunchtime,” Sirles said.

They also will have a full bar and offer mimosas, bloody Marys and brunch cocktails.

“One thing we both really appreciated about New York, Philadelphia, Denver, San Fransisco, Austin and Los Angeles, where we’ve lived and worked, is the ability to get really high-quality breakfast items with locally sourced organic ingredients that have a bespoke flavor profile that’s a contrast to the corporate Waffle Houses and IHOPS,” Dupont said. “That’s what we want to bring to the area, and a lot of folks in Beaumont want that and that’s something we don’t see in the area.”

Beau’s Cafe will be open Wednesday through Sunday, beginning at 7 a.m. for to-go, 8 a.m. for full-service, and stay open until 3 p.m.
