McDonald’s newest Big Mac is coming to Lexington, but not for long. Here’s the details

A special McDonald’s Big Mac is about to hit select locations nationwide and Lexington is one of the lucky sites to try the new sandwich — one that sold out in 10 days in the United Kingdom.

McDonald’s new Chicken Big Mac will arrive Oct. 10 for a limited time while it lasts in Lexington.

A slight twist on the original, normal Big Mac that has been around since 1968, the new sandwich features two tempura battered chicken patties in place of the two all-beef patties. But have no fear Big Mac lovers, the rest of the Chicken Big Mac sandwich is the same as the original — topped with special sauce, lettuce, cheese and pickles on a sesame seed bun.

The reimagined take on the classic fast-food chain menu item was secretly introduced recently a pop-up dining experience by Chain called “McDonnell’s.”

Calories: 530 (Regular, normal Big Mac: 590)
