Chili-flavored ice cream? Why not. Cincinnati favorites Graeter’s, Skyline team up
Cincinnati’s iconic flavors are combining for a unique treat.
Graeter’s Ice cream and Skyline Chili unveiled a much-anticipated collaboration: Graeter’s Skyline Spice Ice Cream. The limited-edition flavor combines Graeter’s handcrafted French Pot ice cream with oyster crackers and Skyline’s signature chili spice mix. Graeter’s is known for its dense, rich premium ice cream, and Skyline for chili cheese coneys and 3-Ways, topped with the unique taste of Cincinnati chili.
“Offering the best of both worlds from two beloved Cincinnati eateries,” at least according to the press release.
So what does it taste like? The press release doesn’t go into details.
But you can see for yourself: It’s available for online orders nationwide Jan. 24 at Graeters.com.
It’s also available in 5-ounce scoops in all Skyline restaurants, in a pint and by the scoop at all Graeter’s scoop shops, and in pints at select Kroger stores throughout Cincinnati; Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis; Louisville; and Lexington.
And apparently Vice President JD Vance, an Ohio native who originally appeared opposed to the sweet and savory merger last fall, has come on board: Skyline Chairman and CEO Dick Williams said he’s been told that Vance has requested a shipment.
