When searching for that unique holiday gift, something not found among the shelves of a big-box store, try looking in your own backyard. This weekend in Lexington, you’ll find shopping events featuring local artisans and makers.
The final Market 301 of the year is 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Manchester Music Hall, 899 Manchester Street. The holiday shopping event will feature apparel, food, jewelry, candles, and offerings from local boutiques.
Vendors will include Wixology, makers of candles inspired by your favorite spirits, Miss Molly Vintage, Boone Creek Loft, creators of hand-lettered signs and paintings, and Popcorn Paradise, featuring hand-crafted gourmet popcorn. Admission is free.
The Bread Box Studio Artists at 501 West Sixth Street will host the annual Art Market from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
You’ll find a variety of merchandise from local artisans, including pottery from David Kenton Kring, prints by Cricket Press, hand-crafted journals from ReImagined by Luna, and colorful pieces by Melisa Zimmerman of Melisa Beth Ceramics. Admission is free. Check out the Facebook page for more info.
