Lexington has a new spot for home decor, furniture, and accessories
There's a new retailer in the Woodland Triangle area. Story, at 512 East High Street, is the latest concept from Melanie Williams, owner of The Black Market Boutique located next door, and the building that houses both businesses.
The store, which carries home decor, furniture, and baby accessories, opened on June 22, taking over a spot vacated by Fox House Vintage earlier this year. Williams had an idea for the space, offering merchandise with a, "totally different style, clean lines, lots of bud vases, and pots for plants, light fixtures, and furniture," she said. Baby accessories include prints, swaddles, burp cloths, onesies, pillows and WubbaNub pacifiers.
Business has been brisk, said Williams, "from the day we opened, we've just been going ever since. It’s a new, fun, different direction." Story hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Instagram.com/story_lexington.
