Some cats are natural-born yappers. Even if they don't have anything to talk about, they can't help themselves! Penny is a vocal Orange Cat who not only loves a good gossip sesh, but also recognizes and responds to her full government name.

pennifer! pennificent! penelope! pennini!

The video shared by @pennythegingercat shows what it's like spending an afternoon with an orange princess. Her reaction to Mom calling her so many different nicknames is a great example of what a day in the life of hanging with a sassy cat is like. As a cat mom to three, I can relate!

Whether you want to call her "Pennifer, Pennificent, Penelope, or Pennini," this Orange Cat will have a response! Being so orange means there's likely a lot of things Penny has on her mind that she wants to share with Mom.

Penny's vocalizations are known to her more than 1.3 million TikTok followers, mostly because she has quite a few variations on the typical talking that some kitties do. Her meows vary in volume, cadence, and urgency, depending on the day.

Take a look at a follow-up clip and decide what mood you think little, orange Penny is trying to convey (personally, I hear all sarcasm):

idk they all sound the same to me

Why Some Cats Are So Vocal

It seems whenever there's a chatty cat going viral, they almost always fall into one of a few categories: Siamese, black, or orange in coat color! Other felines who don't fit into these boxes might still like to yap as a means of communicating their emotions, feelings, and/or needs, but those three cat categories take the cake.

As long as there's no underlying condition, consider their age, breed, and overall health to determine whether their meowing requires a vet check. Usually, they just want to be part of the conversation.

"Talking" in conversation is one of the many reasons cats are so fun to hang out with, and once they learn it garners attention, be prepared for all-day chat fests, as Penny so beautifully demonstrates!
