Golden Retriever Gets to Leave His 'Jail' for the Beach, and It's Hilarious
One of the unique quirks of having a golden retriever is that these dogs tend to be quite expressive. No matter what they're feeling, goldens will always let their humans know what their thoughts are on the matter.
In this case, Maui, the Golden Retriever, made sure everyone knew he was not happy about being home. If there were any doubts on the matter, they were quickly dissipated the moment this dog stepped his paw in the sand at the beach. Truly living his best life at the beach, Maui will be spending all of his time in the sand this summer, and we don't think he will settle for anything less.

With a strong contrast, Maui expresses his discontent with being stuck at home. From pouty faces to loafing around on the floor, Maui wasn't made to be stuck at home. His expression quickly changed from unhappy to slightly confused the minute he sat in his car. While we knew he was going somewhere, he couldn't dare let himself get his hopes up that they might be headed to his dream destination. Thankfully, this golden retriever ended up exactly where he wanted to be: the beach.
The minute Maui hit the beach, this golden retriever went from sour to sweet within seconds. He zoomed around in the sand and patiently buried himself in the sand with a huge grin on his face. With the sunset behind him, Maui was nothing but smiles during his beach trip.
Fitting in perfectly with his name, Maui isn't a golden retriever; he is a beach dog.
