Macy’s has teamed with the American Heart Association for the Go Red for Women movement in February to prevent heart disease and stroke in women.
Throughout the month, Macy’s will offer limited-edition merchandise, promotions and in-store events. Through Monday, customers who wear red or buy the official Red Dress pin for $3 will receive an extra 25 percent off most purchases storewide, or 15 percent off select jewelry and home items. One hundred percent of Red Dress pin sales benefit Go Red for Women.
For National Wear Red Day on Friday, everyone is encouraged to wear red in support of the campaign. Macy’s will celebrate by offering three limited-edition red dresses throughout February by Kensie, $99; Thalia, $89.50 and Calvin Klein, $134, with 10 percent of the price benefiting Go Red for Women.
The American Heart Association, KentuckyOne Health and Passport Health Plan will be in the front of Macy’s at Fayette Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday offering free blood pressure screenings and information.
