A “romantic treehouse getaway” in Georgetown is the “most wishlisted” Airbnb listing in Kentucky, according to a recent report from the vacation home rental company.

Airbnb’s April 9 report “Unveiling the most wishlisted listings across the US” named the “Treehouse with TWO outdoor tubs by the creek!” Kentucky’s most wishlisted rental, and its listing says it’s a “guest favorite.”

“Water and wanderlust define the South’s most wishlisted stays. Travelers are gravitating toward waterfront escapes—lakeside retreats, beachfront homes, and even houseboats—while also seeking out romantic treehouses tucked into the woods, mountaintop hideaways, and glamping experiences,” Airbnb’s description of the most wishlisted rentals in the South reads.

The treehouse rental has a 4.92-star rating, with 285 reviews, and received particularly high marks for location. The home sleeps up to two guests, with a queen-sized bed.

The one-bedroom rental offers a composting toilet and an outdoor shower, as well as two outdoor bathtubs overlooking a nearby creek.

“Welcome to your romantic treehouse getaway! Nestled among the trees, this one-bedroom treehouse is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a unique & unforgettable experience,” the Airbnb listing reads. “The treehouse features a large glass rolling garage door allowing stunning views of the sunset, but the highlight is undoubtedly the double tubs overlooking the creek.”

The home features an indoor cooking station, along with an outdoor deck with seating, hot water, shampoo and shower gel, the listing says.

Georgetown Airbnb pricing, amenities

The listing notes the Georgetown treehouse offers essentials such as towels, bedsheets, soap and toilet paper, and the kitchenette area includes a mini fridge, dishes and silverware, a hot water kettle and a dining table.

Pets are allowed, though they must be kept on a leash at all times, and the host also asks guests to bring bags to pick up after their pet and be mindful of any dirty paws that could stain the white bed comforter.

Pricing varies based on dates; a two-night, mid-week stay in June is priced at $491, while a weekend stay in August goes for $839.

The home’s Airbnb listing says it offers self check-in through a keypad, as well as an “amazing outdoor space” and scenic location.

One space of free driveway parking is offered, and electric vehicle charging is available for $10 per day. The listing refers to the home as “The Garage.”

“‘The Garage’ is one of two unique Glamping experiences we host on our personal creekside farm of 13 acres,” the listing says.

There is a 150-yard downhill walk through mowed grass to access the rental, the listing says, and a wagon is provided to help move items.
