Margaritaville at Sea has made a name for itself as a cruise line that goes big on showing gratitude to frontline heroes.

Through its flagship Heroes Sail Free program, Margaritaville at Sea offers free cruise fares for two on select dates for those who serve their communities and country, including U.S. military, first responders, healthcare workers, and educators. Since launching the program in partnerships with GOVX in 2022, the cruise line has welcomed more than 100,000 U.S. military, first responders, educators, and everyday heroes on board for well-deserved escapes.

As an extension of that program, Margaritaville at Seas hosts Heroes Month in May to honor heroes with meaningful experiences on board its ships and beyond. This year, the cruise line is enhancing the Heroes Month celebration with a new Heroes "At Sea" cruise giveaway, expanded onboard recognition, and a first look at a new venue dedicated to heroes coming to the cruise line's third ship, Beachcomber, which launches in January 2027.

"Heroes Month is about more than recognizing the heroes who sail with us every day. It's about creating real moments of connection, gratitude and well-earned escape onboard our ships," said Margaritaville at Sea CEO Christopher Ivy said in a press release. "Our continued commitment to honoring those who serve our communities at home and abroad will only expand with the launch of Beachcomber and our first venue dedicated to heroes."

Heroes Month includes cruise giveaway, onboard recognition

Launching in May, Margaritaville at Sea's Heroes "At Sea" cruise giveaway offers eligible heroes the chance to win a seven-night Caribbean cruise for two sailing on Margaritaville at Sea Islander from Port Tampa Bay in Florida.

The giveaway is open to heroes including educators, healthcare workers, military and veterans, first responders, and law enforcement. Heroes can enter the giveaway while on board any Margaritaville at Sea sailing throughout the month or be nominated by friends and family on the cruise line's website.

Across the fleet, Heroes Month will be celebrated on board throughout each voyage sailing in May. Heroes Month programming includes the expansion of the cruise line's signature Heroes Salute, along with commemorative pins, and curated experiences designed to acknowledge service, foster camaraderie, and create shared moments among passengers. On select dates, programming will also highlight key national observances including Teacher Appreciation Week, National Nurses Week, and Memorial Day.

Additionally, for the second consecutive year, Margaritaville at Sea is continuing its role as the official cruise line partner of Hire Heroes USA, working alongside GOVX to extend the program's reach and impact. These collaborations support veteran-focused initiatives while strengthening connections within the broader heroes community.

Heroes Hall to debut on Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber

As part of its long-term commitment to heroes, Margaritaville at Sea is introducing Heroes Hall aboard Beachcomber, debuting from Miami in January 2027. The new onboard venue is expected to be one of the most distinctive spaces at sea dedicated to honoring heroes and demonstrates the brand's ongoing investment in recognizing service in a visible and lasting way.

Designed as an immersive, walk-through experience, Heroes Hall will feature gallery-style displays, large-format photography, and memorabilia that bring the stories of heroes to life. A central gathering area will provide space for connection and select onboard programming.

Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber will sail a year-round schedule of four- to eight-night cruises from Miami to the southern and eastern Caribbean.
