Two Ohio men found dead inside vehicle left running in Kentucky garage

Two Ohio men were found dead Friday morning inside a vehicle that was left running in a garage in Menifee County.

The bodies of Johnny Dean Wells, 53, and William G. Morgan, 37, both of Cleveland, were found inside a Cadillac Escalade in a garage on Ky. 2071 in the Wellington community, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.

“We’re thinking it’s probably just an accident,” said Menifee County Coroner Megan Peck.

The bodies were sent to Frankfort for autopsies, she said.

She said the men were found inside the vehicle in a detached garage at a home. They were relatives of the people who owned the residence, Peck said.

State police said the Menifee County Sheriff’s Office contacted them to ask for help with the death investigation at about 8 a.m.
