National Thoroughbred Racing Association moving headquarters to downtown
▪ The National Thoroughbred Racing Association will relocate its headquarters to downtown at The Square after nearly 20 years at suburban office parks on the outskirts of the city. The NTRA’s new office will be housed in the second floor space above Saul Good Restaurant & Pub at The Square, a collection of 16 historic buildings that has been at the heart of Lexington since the 1880s. The move will be complete by Aug. 1.
The NTRA is a coalition of more than 100 horse racing interests and thousands of individual stakeholders. The organization has 17 full-time employees based in Lexington, regional sales representatives across the country, and a horse industry advocacy team based in Washington, D.C.
The NTRA currently occupies half of the fifth floor of One Paragon Centre (2525 Harrodsburg Road, Suite 510) and shares some common space with fellow Thoroughbred racing nonprofit Breeders’ Cup Ltd., which plans to relocate to downtown Lexington in 2018, at the former Fayette County Courthouse.
Effective July 1, the NTRA’s new postal address will be 401 West Main Street, Suite 222, Lexington, Ky., 40507.
▪ Edward Frank Co. has merged with Louisville-based Schwartz Insurance Group. Steve Frank, who became CEO of Edward Frank Co. in 1996, will remain active as a producer and mentor. Matt Schwartz is CEO of Schwartz Insurance Group, which is located at 2950 Breckinridge Lane, Suite 8, Louisville. For more info, visit Schwartzinsgrp.com.
