Kentucky’s French named president of National Federation of Democratic Women

Eastern Kentucky University: EKU President Michael Benson has been named to the Council of Presidents of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. Benson, the only representative of a Kentucky college or university, joins 28 others on the council, which is chaired by Paul J. LeBlanc of Southern New Hampshire University.

Finance

Fifth Third Bank: Roni Karbach has been promoted to consumer market manager for Kentucky. In this role, she oversees the day to day operations of 55 full-service banking centers and 350 employees. Karbach brings 24 years of banking experience in retail, business banking and private banking. Patrick “Pat” Farnan has been named business banking manager for Kentucky. He will be based in Louisville and will work with a team of business bankers in the Kentucky region focused on the Louisville and Lexington markets.

Organizations

National Federation of Democratic Women: Susanna French of Benton has been named president and will lead the national organization for the next two years. French is a long-time activist in democratic politics where she has served in numerous capacities nationally and in Kentucky. She was the youngest woman ever elected president of the Democratic Woman’s Club of Kentucky after she had served four years as state treasurer. French is the general manager of Alexander Development - Premier Disaster Restoration and the co-owner of a retail business with her husband, Jamie French.

Other

KET: Todd Coleman has been named senior director for finance and administration. Prior to joining KET’s senior management team, Coleman, a CPA, had served as controller for Kentucky Retirement Systems.
