Traditional Bank: Erin Soard has been promoted to commercial loan officer. She joined Traditional Bank in 2010 as a portfolio manager and has 13 years of banking experience.

Health care

Baptist Health Medical Group: Drs. Michael Kirk, Janak Talwalkar and Timothy Wilson have joined the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Group at 1760 Nicholasville Road, Suite 101.

Law

Orwin & Fries: Jesse D. Fries has been named a partner at the Somerset law office.

Thompson Miller & Simpson: Joey Mankovich has joined the firm as an associate. He will practice in the fields of commercial and healthcare litigation.

Organizations

Kentucky School Boards Association: Kerri Schelling has been named executive director. The Versailles resident has served in many roles at KSBA, including director of Board Team Development and director of Student Support Services.

LexArts: Four people have been named to the organization’s board of directors: Anna Hess, Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras; Greg Padgett, Padgett Construction; Jon Stewart, Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance; and Frank X. Walker, poet, professor and playwright.
