The Babies R Us store at Hamburg will close, according to a list of nearly 200 U.S. stores to be closed.

The Toys R Us company filed for bankruptcy protection in September and filed the list of planned closings Tuesday in the bankruptcy court.

There has been no word on when the Lexington store at 1965 Star Shoot Parkway will close, but stores could begin close-out sales in early February and are expected to be done by mid-April.

The company will honor gift cards as long as the stores are open. Answers to other questions are available at Toysrusinc.com/restructuring.

The company also will close the outlet store at 1155 Buck Creek Road in Simpsonville and the Toys R Us store at 4900 Shelbyville Road in St. Matthews.

The move will shutter about a fifth of the company’s stores, and several thousand employees will lose their jobs, according to published reports. The company, which owes billions to creditors and toy makers, also is closing 25 stores in the United Kingdom. A list of stores is available online.
