Offline, a sub-brand of intimates retailer Aerie, recently opened in Fayette Mall.

The Offline by Aerie store, in the middle section of the mall between Buckle and Oakley, offers “soft, cozy, and comfortable activewear” such as leggings, bike shorts, tops and sports bras, the mall said in a news release.

With many more Americans working and learning from home amid the pandemic, Aerie and its parent company, American Eagle Outfitters, launched the new Offline concept in July 2020. The company announced in November that its first location had opened in CoolSprings Galleria outside Nashville.

“OFFLINE’s unique take on active lifestyle products celebrates REAL life when some days you feel like you can take on the world and other days you need that extra push to get off the couch,” Jennifer Foyle, Aerie global brand president, said in a news release at the time.

In March, the company declared the concept a success and said it planned to open “between 25 and 30 Offline by Aerie stores this year,” WWD reported. As the company experiments with different formats to see what works best, it said some of the new stores would be standalone locations, while others would be alongside or within one of the company’s other shops.

With a slogan of “Let the Real You Shine,” Aerie says it is “retouching-free” in its advertising and “celebrates its community by advocating for body positivity and the empowerment of all women.”
