KY manufacturing plant to close, lay off more than 100 employees
A manufacturing plant in Fleming County is set to close next year, laying off 112 employees, according to a notice filed with the state.
ARaymond Tinnerman Manufacturing in Flemingsburg will begin closing in stages starting in April and ending all operations at the location in December 2026, the company said in a WARN notice to the Kentucky Career Center, which tracks layoffs and closures in the state. The company specializes in manufacturing fasteners and assembly solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors.
“The discontinuation of operations at the plant is primarily due to unfortunate market realities — including capacity utilization, changing customer demands, and operating cost pressures,” the company said in the letter.
ARaymond has more than 700 employees across five plants in North America. ARaymond announced it would close the manufacturing plant in Flemingsburg as part of its North American and Canadian operations restructuring and open a new centralized distribution center in Detroit.
The company will provide severance packages and outplacement services for Flemingsburg employees, it said in a statement posted on the company’s website.
“As a sixth-generation, family-owned business, we deeply regret closing this historic facility given the strong and valued relationships we have built with our employees and the Flemingsburg community,” Ramesh Gaddam, CEO of ARaymond Fluid Handling North America, said in a statement. “We are grateful for the commitment of our team members and the support of the community and its leaders over the years.”
