Lego store coming to Central KY. Here’s where and what we know
Lego enthusiasts will soon have a place to buy the popular bricks in central Kentucky.
The Danish play company posted a job description July 2 for a manager of a Lego retail store at Fritz Farm in Lexington, an upscale mixed-use and retail center on Nicholasville Road.
“Join the LEGO® Brand Retail team as a Store Manager at Fritz Farm in Lexington, KY and ensure that the LEGO Brand, Vision, and Values are exemplified in all store operations and guest interactions. You will empower the team around you to drive sales while providing a signature experience for every guest,” the post read.
It’s not clear when the Lego store will open, or where in the shopping center it will be located. Officials with Fritz Farm and Lego did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment.
It would be the first location in Central Kentucky. The company has at least one other Kentucky location at the Oxmoor Center in Louisville, according to its website.
Several other additions at Fritz Farm have been recently announced, including Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, which is set to open in the former location of Buzzed Bull Creamery. It will be the first location in Kentucky.
In March, Hendricks Commercial Properties announced a major expansion of the shopping center, with three new buildings for retail and dining space under construction and expected to open for tenants in December.
