Jif introduces new peanut butter variety

Jif has introduced a new line of peanut butter that is infused with omega-3 fatty acids.

Jif Omega-3 Peanut Butter will be produced in Lexington, where Jif owner J.M. Smucker Co. has a plant on Winchester Road.

Omega-3 fatty acids have a number of documented health benefits.

According to Smucker's, two tablespoons of Jif Omega-3 Peanut Butter provide a combined 32 milligrams of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid.

The variety retails for between $3.39 and $3.49.
