Louisville-area casino to open Paula Deen buffet

The Horseshoe Southern Indiana casino is undergoing a $3.4 million renovation to add a Paula Deen buffet and retail store.

The casino, near Louisville in Elizabeth, Ind., plans to open the 525-seat restaurant and store Sept. 3 with opening festivities hosted by Deen.

The buffet will feature dishes popularized by the famed chef, who specializes in Southern cuisine.

The restaurant also will be styled after architecture found in Deen's hometown of Savannah, Ga., according to a news release. The architect and interior designer of Deen's new home in Savannah helped design and model the buffet restaurant.
