Blue & Co. has been selected as one of Inside Public Accounting's 2010 Top 100 Accounting Firms and the third-fastest growing firm in the nation, as ranked by net revenue percentage change. The report ranked Blue & Co. at 72nd place, up from 81st in 2009. Blue & Co. is an Indiana-based independent accounting and advisory firm with offices in Lexington and Louisville.
Hilliard Lyons has been named the Kentucky Arts Council's business recipient of the Governor's Award in the Arts, the commonwealth's highest honor in the arts. The award recognized Hilliard Lyons' support of the Louisville Orchestra, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Kentucky Opera and other arts events.
Don McNay, founder and chairman of the board of Richmond-based McNay Settlement Group, has been named to the Million Dollar Round Table for the 24th consecutive year. Members of the MDRT represent less than one percent of the world's top financial service professionals. McNay founded McNay Settlement Group, a litigation and financial consulting firm, in 1983, and Kentucky Guardianship Administrators in 2000.
Janice Mueller, a Realtor with Re/Max Creative Realty in Lexington, has been named one of 10 national finalists for Realtor Magazine's 2010 Good Neighbor Awards. For 11 years, the Good Neighbor Awards program has recognized Realtors based on their volunteer service. Mueller has been a member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors for 35 years and in 2001 helped found the Makenna Foundation in memory of Makenna David, who died of a rare lung disease in 1998. The foundation's goal is to raise money for the Kentucky Children's Hospital. In July, the foundation celebrated the grand opening of the hospital's Makenna David Pediatric Emergency Center. Winners of the Good Neighbor Award will be announced in November.
