Whitaker Bank has inked a deal to purchase Kentucky Trust Company of Danville, allowing it to broaden its offerings to include investment management, trust management and estate administration. Whitaker Bank CEO Elmer K. Whitaker said in statement that the acquisition bolsters the bank's "commitment to offer a balanced mix of financial services that meet the needs of our fellow Kentuckians." Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Whitaker Bank has offices in 25 Central and Eastern Kentucky communities while Kentucky Trust has total trust assets of $420.7 million and offices in Bowling Green, Danville and Ashland.
